About

About Me:

Marketing mistress, aspiring author, unmitigated nippon-phile, professional singer on hiatus. I currently serve as the Director of Marketing for People To My Site, a full-service marketing agency based in Gahanna, Ohio.

Theories on Marketing:

Content people have no need to change their behavior. You can’t be afraid to shake things up if you want people to do something different. Too many marketers are unwilling to offend, and so their message gets lost in the clutter. Take a step out of your comfort zone and see what you can achieve.

Successful marketing is not rocket science. It’s simply making certain that you’re telling your story in a way that people will both listen to and be moved by.  This means you have to think like your audience. If you’re delivering a product or service you care about, chances are you already have a keen insight here. Use it. And remember to get a third-party to give you feedback so you’re not just speaking to yourself.

Ensuring positive results requires setting a goal. It’s amazing to me how many people forget that. The goal must be a measurable one. Then compare pre-campaign to in-campaign measurement for reaching that goal. Measure different aspects if you can. Use what’s working, change what’s not. See? It’s not brain surgery. It just requires diligent attention.
